What is ‘content lock’?
‘Content Lock’ restricts access to internet sites that have a rating of 18+. It is there to protect those under 18 from accessing adult content via an EE account. If you try to access 18+ rated content and Content Lock is turned on, a blocking page will be displayed, and you will need to complete a credit card age verification check using the online form to view the content.
At the moment you can’t remove content lock in MyEE so just give us a call or pop into one of our stores.
How do I change my settings?
1. Call us on 1818 from the EE device on which you want to remove or re-apply Content Lock. If you want to turn Content Lock off you will need a credit card for an age verification check.
2. In store – pop in with an approved photo ID – a passport, full driver’s licence (photo and paper), or an EU card or citizen card.
